Course Description

This course is designed for all practicing neurosurgeons. It employs a fast-paced, non-threatening, and interactive format to review a broad range of clinical neurosurgery. It provides a large number of CME in just one weekend. There are no lectures.

Weekend Update allows neurosurgeons of all ages to privately test their knowledge and clinical practice against ‘state of the art’ concepts and the practices of fellow neurosurgeons. For those in the MOC process, it provides clinical updates, self-assessment, and feedback which will enable the participant to design a personalized study guide for the MOC Cognitive Examination.



Who Should Attend

This course is designed for neurosurgeons interested in clinical updates and self-assessment and for those preparing for the neurosurgical maintenance of certification exam.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Evaluate management strategies for a wide range of neurosurgical patients
  • Describe current concepts throughout a broad spectrum of neurological surgery
  • Compare current treatment options in areas of neurosurgery outside their typical scope of practice
  • Assess one's general knowledge in comparison to fellow neurosurgeons
  • Review and prepare for the MOC Cognitive Examination
